How much controversy can “Blurred Lines” pick up? This summer banger has been making headlines for more than just being a snappy tune. Aside from all the parodies, the music makers behind the hit have landed in hot water with the Marvin Gaye estate for copyright infringement. And while Robin Thicke, Pharrell Williams and Clifford Harris Jr. are awaiting their day in court, Thicke is making headlines again with his much-talked-about performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. During the crooner’s performance he was treated to a twerk session, by a latex clad Miley Cyrus. This less than stellar news doesn’t seem to be affecting “Blurred Lines” popularity, as the hit has been sitting comfortable on the top of Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop charts for 11 straight weeks.
